MDX-C8970R - RDS variant was for the European market. US Version has 87.5-108 KHz FM tuner. Part of Sony's premium ES line of head units.
Voice-activated using speech recognition for station names. Voice-memo feature allows 6 voice messages of up to 15 seconds each to be recorded to unit (not to MD). DSP function allows user to adjust virtual sound stage for better placement.
